Fuel Efficiency Recommendations

For Winter Period

1.Plan Routes Carefully:
We strongly recommend using technology tools such as Google Maps and Trucker Path applications to plan your routes carefully and stay informed about road conditions. These apps provide real-time traffic updates, weather forecasts, and road condition information, enabling you to make more informed decisions that will help optimize fuel efficiency and avoid unexpected delays or detours.

2. Maintain Proper Tire Pressure:
Cold temperatures can cause tire pressure to drop. Ensure that your tires are properly inflated to reduce rolling resistance and improve fuel efficiency.

3. Fuel Additives:
For temperatures below 20°F, use fuel additives to prevent fuel gelling, ensuring optimal engine performance in extreme cold.

4. Maintain a Consistent Speed:
Keep a steady and moderate speed when driving. Frequent changes in speed can negatively impact fuel efficiency.

5. Cruise Control:
Use cruise control on highways to help maintain a constant speed and improve fuel efficiency.

6. Idle Reduction Technology:
Invest in idle reduction technologies, (APUs) or cab heaters (Webasto), to avoid unnecessary idling and maintain a comfortable cabin temperature without running the main engine.
